Beauprez Calls on Hickenlooper to Denounce Voter Fraud

Press Release

Date: Oct. 22, 2014

Following several recent reports of voter fraud enabled by Colorado's new election law, signed into law by incumbent John Hickenlooper, candidate for Governor Bob Beauprez released the following statement:

"Coloradans are forced to live with the consequences of every extreme bill John Hickenlooper signed into law in 2013, and this is just the latest in a long list of policies he supported that violate the interests of our citizens. The same 'no veto' legislative session that brought us restrictive gun legislation also brought about the opportunity for widespread voter fraud in Colorado.

"Over the objections of Republican legislators, the Secretary of State, and experts in the field, John Hickenlooper signed this radical legislation and defended it, dismissing allegations of voter fraud the same way the Obama administration does. Now we know why."

Beauprez also called on Hickenlooper to account for his part in creating the climate for these acts to occur. In 2013 -- the same year that produced a slew of radical bills from the Democrat-controlled legislature, and in which Hickenlooper failed to use his veto pen even once -- John Hickenlooper signed bills which opened the door for voter fraud to take place, including continued efforts by some groups that have already been charged with voter fraud.
